Some History:
Turmeric is native to India and Pakistan and holds so many health benefits. When ingested it is thought to be a potential treatment for diseases such as Alzheimer's all the way to cancer! Imagine what putting some of that goodness on your skin could do! It used to be used as a dye but now is also used for medicinal purposes.Some of the benefits of using a turmeric mask:
- Anti-aging
- Acne Fighting
- Dark Circle Decreasing
- Brighter/Glowing Skin
Can also be used for:
- Cracked Heels
- Burns
- Stretch Marks
Now- Lets get into what you will need:
1. Teaspoon Coconut Oil
2. Teaspoon Honey
3. 1 Tablespoon Plain Yogurt/Greek Yogurt
4. 1 Heaping Tablespoon Turmeric
5. A Mixing Bowl
Combine all of these ingredients and mix together until you get a thick pasty consistency. After you have mixed well, apply it all over your face and down your neck. Let sit for about 15-20 minutes, or as long as it takes for it to fully dry. Then wash your face a couple of times to get rid of all of the yellow residue that will be left behind. Your skin should feel soft and rejuvenated! If you have acne try to use this mask 2-3 times a week for up to 2 months. For people like me who only get problem spots here and there (aka that time of the month) make this mask once a month and use up to 2 times!
